Jonathan and Monica
Our good friends, Jonathan and Monica, left St Petersburg today for the first step in a long journey. They set out for the Caribbean and then they are off to who knows where. We wish them nothing but fun in the sun, fair seas and calm winds.
This was really a bitter sweet moment. It is very sad to see good friends sail off over the horizon and never know if you will see them again. However, the sadness is purely a selfish emotion. The real joy is watching someone have a dream come true. Jonathan and Monica had the plan, saved the money, bought a boat and have now taken the first step to exploring the world’s nooks and crannies.
We REALLY hope we find them again one day.
To our fellow cruisers that read this: if you happen to see Journey, give these wonderful people a big hug from us.
