Boquerón

Our stay in Puerto Real was a little bit longer than planned. I think the close proximity of the awesome bakery might have had something to do with this. It’s hard for me to get motivated to move away from daily fresh bread and pastries. We purposely skipped a weather window to move east along the southern coast of Puerto Rico thinking there would be another window shortly. We wanted to do some local sightseeing. We were wrong about there being another weather window. The wind howled over 25 knots (29 MPH – 46 KPH) for five days. We need to go east. The winds are headwinds from the east. Sailors don’t like headwinds.

Reluctantly leaving the bakery, we hopped down to the next little bay just a few miles south of us and the small town of Boquerón. This is as far as we can go before waiting for the winds to die down a little.
