How you ever been walking down the street and come upon a single shoe? I have seen lone shoes on beaches, sidewalks, in parks and playgrounds. Who are these people who lose a single shoe? I mean, how does this happen. Do people not notice their shoe has fallen off? Are there really people in the world who think, “Oh dear, my shoe fell off – oh well, I have another one”? And, they keep on going without picking it up. If you happen to be one of these folks hobbling about with one shoe, then behold, there is a monument attributed to your kind (pictured above) at White Point on Great Guana Cay, Bahamas.
This week, we discovered a little slice of paradise. The pictures tell the story. The anchor was dropped just off White Point. For a few days, we were the sole vessel anchored here. Our days consisted of walks on the beach, the occasional swim in the crystal clear warm water. Cindy read a couple of books. I read Steven King’s Under The Dome. All 1074 pages of it.
