A Thank You to Our Furry Hosts and Hostesses

As Mark’s post said,  our USA trip was a busy one. The time flew by as we checked off a lot of land life items that needed attention. But the best part of the trip was the time we spent with family and friends. That part of the trip past much too quickly. It was bittersweet leaving again to head back to Cream Puff. We were happy to be returning to our boat and our next adventures but sad to say goodbye.

I realized that each home we visited had at least one furry family member. Pets are a big part of a lot of American families. All of the pets we encountered were sweet and showed us unconditional affection.  Some even gave up their favorite chair or made room for us.

Here are a few of our hosts and hostesses in alphabetical order

Diamond lives in Texas with her buddy Crystal.  Crystal is also a dog. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a picture of Crystal. Diamond loves to do whatever Crystal is doing. Crystal loves to sit on laps and any lap will do just fine. We made sure we had lap room enough for both.

Dixie is a sweet southern gal living in Georgia. She loved to watch us play cards and kept the card players honest. However, I do think I saw her whispering to the competition once or twice. 🙂

Sweet little Eve is very shy. She loves her quiet time on her porch. She also likes to be in high places where she can keep watch over her kingdom.

Gypsy is young and smart as a whip (as they say in Texas). She lives in Texas part of the year and on a boat in the Bahamas the rest of the year. What a great life for such a great dog.

Mandy is about three years old and still full of that puppy energy. She loves to toss her toys in the air for attention. Sometimes the toys land in the water of the bay that is her backyard. Only to be fished out by people who toss them back to her. Gee, I think her ploy works. 🙂

Riley lives in the big city of Atlanta, Georgia but loves to spend weekends in the countryside going on long walks/runs. His big loves are squeaky toys and going to work with his owner.

Roarke is the mischievous one. His curiosity leads him everywhere he is not supposed to be. He makes up for these antics by being a sweet lap cat.

Rocky is a mellow guy with a very sweet nature . He has a great life of chew toys, a big yard where he can run and ton of attention from his owner.

We hope you enjoy the photos of our furry friends. They were great hosts/hostesses during our visits. Check the cupboard guys, there are treats there for all. 🙂
